All gardeners know the damage that the birds and animals can do to a lawn while they are digging for Leatherjackets which is the larvae of the Crane Fly or Daddy Long Legs, to control the pest we use parasitic Nematodes (live microscopic worms), they are different to the slug Nematodes but applied in the same way using a watering can with a sprinkler bar or rose.

The Nematodes should be applied when the soil temperature is above 10°c in the spring and again from August to October in the late summer.

The Nematodes are safe to be used where children play and because they are a natural product they will not do any harm to other animals and birds.
